MacBook 12-inch: Most compact Mac ever turns 10, awaits successor
It ran on a lame Intel chip, had no fan and could be taken anywhere: the 12-inch MacBook. Why doesn't it come with Apple Silicon?
MacBook Air M4: Really 23 times faster than the Intel version?
Apple is making some bold promises with its new entry-level MacBook. But it's the small print that counts.
New Mac Studio: chip confusion and up to 17,624 euros expensive
Apple offers two SoC generations in one computer line at the same time – and the older one is faster? Yes, that's the case. At exorbitant prices.
I just added a #TalosLinux 1.9.3 (#Talos) #Vagrant box to the #ARM64 collection. This allows you to run Talos on your #AppleSilicon #MacBook. This is control-plane only, but you can patch the manifest to also run workloads.
You can find it right here:

Finally, I threw away my M1 Air (okay, okay; gave it to my wife) and bought a Thinkpad e14 :)
I can't say those two years with Apple Macintosh were awful, but the Gnu/Linux is entirely a different thing :)
I know it sounds weird, but my financial conditions were the reason I got an M1 Air in the first place!

Last year, @libreoffice@twitter.com was ported to run on #macOS on #AppleSilicon. Easy bits were easy and most of the hard ones straightforward.
